Argyle is a concept boutique nightclub and craft cocktail den. Located in the former Tru nightclub space, Argyle’s subterranean level is cocktail lounge that resembles the stately libraries of money-ed Europe, with gold tin ceilings and the master mixologist from the renowned Roosevelt’s Library Bar. Extravagant leather couches and vintage artifacts transform the space into a 1920’s speakeasy-chic lounge that radiates a sensual and relaxed ambiance.

Head upstairs and you’ll enter a massive, supercharged nightclub 3D LED tube installations span the ceiling, lending a cutting-edge, futuristic vibe to the throbbing scene. In this Great Gatsby-meets-Las-Vegas opulent dance haven, a sprawling dance floor is surrounded by snakeskin booths and decorative, Art Deco panels. With L.A.’s first ever two-story VIP “table,” with its own balcony, Argyle is the expert on the velvet-rope experience and has created, on its nightclub level, a debauched dancery that combines, high art, high fashion, and high times.

Club-goers will be astonished by the magnitude of lighting displays and art pieces that breathe life into Time Nightclub. It not only boasts a state-of-the-art Funktion One sound system, but a fully immersive lighting experience, designed by Steve Lieberman from SJ Lighting, that really adds that “wow” factor to this spot.

The layout is centered on the dance floor, and backed by a giant LED screen on which DJs can play graphics to accompany their beats. There’s an immense chandelier of LED bulbs and strips of LED bulbs on the ceiling throughout the club for a variety of lighting effects.

Deep colors and fantastic touches add to the luxury theme. Walls are patterned with a zebra print. Pink-tinted mirrors and two dozen hanging green lampshades decorate the main bar. Splashy designs and images cover the ceilings. There are also a separate bar and lounge for women only, set off by the women’s restroom.

Costa Mesa design company Davis Ink is behind the decor. Its list of projects includes clubs, bars and restaurants in Southern California and around the Southwest, such as Parq Nightclub in San Diego and Fusion Ultra Lounge in Anaheim.

Orange County was in need of a fun injection and it’s about TIME this club opened.
